Camanna's Petite Paradise is blessed to be welcoming these precious new babies into the world. The birth of new kids is our favorite part of goat keeping and we want to share it with you. Some of these kids will stay in our herd but others that are not yet spoken for will be pictured on the sales page. Some of the buck kids will be available soon as pet wethers. Newborn kids are very difficult to photograph well because they wiggle around or scrunch down. Please forgive the sometimes awkward poses.	Doe kids are usually pictured with a pink background and buck kids with a blue background.	Most of the kids below are pictured at less than a week of age.
	Wow, I never thought I would own a pig - or should I say, FAMILY of pigs! Queen Sheba arrived on Nov. 26th and her babies were born the next day! Sheba is an American Guinea Hog, a small breed of heritage hog. She is pround mama to six piglets, two females and four males.
	Something new on the farm! I recently purchase a small flock of young, top quality, rare Lavender Orpington chickens. I will have chicks and fertile eggs available for sale in the future. The hens are named Lilac, Pansy, Violet, and Iris. I finally decided to name the rooster Rhody. No, I can't tell all the girls apart! UPDATE: I have 26 eggs in the incubator and expect chicks to hatch on New Year's Day. Let me know if you have interest in straight run Lavender Orpington chicks.

"Camanna AYW Honeybee Miracle" retained in herd	Rosasharn UN Bumble B 5*D + Drogonfly MX As You Wish single doe born: 6/22/11	This precioius doeleng probably has a heart problem and needs your prayers. She seemed fine her first afternoon but since then has been breathing with shallow, rapid breaths and isn't as active or happy as she was her first day. My vet suspects a heart problem and I would agree when listening to her heart. I just love the doeling's sweet personality and her wonderful bloodlines and want her healthy and happy. I have been praying for a miracle. UPDATE - Our prayers have been answered ! This little gal is now as active and full of fun as her three buddies pictured below. I love miracle healings!

The doe kid, who was trying to come out bent, "backbone first", didn't survive. There was no way to reposition her to get either kid out, thus the need for surgery. Naomi and her buck kid are doing great now. Thank you OSU senior vet students and Dr. V for your great work with Naomi and the love you poured out on her little fellow.
