blue eyed Shiraz is about as mellow and sweet as a little goat could possibly be. Even though her personality and color are awesome, we primarily kept Shiraz on our farm because of her grand-dam Dakota's awesome milking genetics. This flashy doe always freshens with a gorgeous udder and we couldn't be more pleased. Her rear udder is awesome and probably the highest in our herd. This red gal is easy to milk and has plenty of capacity and production. Shiraz could be a bit longer bodied but that isn't a big concern. Ideally, Shiraz's teats would point down instead of forward but it is only this obvious with her udder very full. In the show ring, Shiraz is starting to shine and did very well in 2008 with limited showing. She missed all the big shows in 2009 because she didn't kid until late June. My daughter shows Shiraz in 4H and likes her to have small kids at the 4H show to share with the public, thus the late kidding date. |

![]() Born: 3/30/05 Height: 21 1/2" Registered: ADGA, AGS We are happy to welcome "Betsy" into our herd. In looking at the photo above, you quickly notice that Betsy is very sharp over the withers and is impressive in her uphill stance. I also admire this dark buckskin's dairy character, body capacity, and wide, level rump. When it comes to milking, this girl is a dream. She has large teats and orifices and is thus milked out very quickly. Her rear udder attachment is high but could be a little wider. She has tons of udder capacity and is a good milk producer. Ideally, I would like to see her smoother blending from the withers to neck. Wow, what a pedigree! I look forward to starting this aged doe's show career. Betsy loves to be a mom and is often herd snorting her protest if anyone disturbs her little ones. |

![]() Molly's rear udder actually looked more impressive the following weekend at a show but we were too hot and tired to take new pictures after the show. Born: 2/26/05 Height: 19 1/2" Registered: ADGA Molly wouldn't pose pretty for us in the photo above, however, on the move, she always has judges commenting on her level topline. As a yearling doe, Molly surprised us at the Oregon State Fair by surpassing all the older does and winning "Supreme Best Udder" of the Nigerian breed. She also won "Best Junior Doe in Show" at her first ADGA show as a dry yearling. Molly is an elegant doe with a long neck, very long body, and lots of dairy character. She also has very good feet and legs. She has a beautiful, strong topline (when walking) and a perfect slope to her wide rump. Molly is a wonderful little dairy goat with a beautiful udder that is well attahced and easy to milk. Ideally, Molly would be more uphill, and have a smoother fore udder. After a three year break, Molly was back in the show ring in 2010 and doing very well. Molly's gorgeous daughter, Sonata, became a finished champion in a weekend as a two-year-old at a four ring show. If this flashy doe will learn to hold her head up in the show ring, I think she can be a finished champion some day as well. ![]() Sonata's udder |

![]() Born: 3/06/05 Height: 21 1/4 Registered:ADGA,AGS polled I knew this doeling was a "keeper" the moment I saw her. I have to admit, this is my favorite doe born on our farm in 2005 - and we had a record number of doe kids to choose from. Fancy is elegant and stylish and catches people's eye where ever she goes. This photo doesn't do her justice! On the move, Fancy is very level and has nice sharp shoulders and a pretty dairy goat "wedge" shape. In addition, she has great thin, loose, dairy skin and flat bones. Fancy has been shown eight times, usually placing first in her class. She went on to be the junior champion at the Oregon State Fair in 2005 and won a reserve GCH in an ADGA sanctioned show in June of 2008. Although Fancy doesn't have a perfect udder attachment, she is a improvement over her dam and has a very nice udder overall. To top it off, Fancy is polled and is as sweet as can be.
