In an ongoing attempt to improve my herd of Nigerians, I typically save approximately ten doe kids as replacements each year. I wish I could let you know ahead of time which kids will be retained in my herd but unfortunately, I am not that good a decision maker. I will be selecting my replacements based on genetics, conformation, dam's udder, and other characteristics. I will indicate, (on the breeding schedule below), the kids I definitely plan to keep for my herd. I will not make my final selections until late spring when the majority of the kids are born. I intend to have first choice of all the kids born but I will do my best to fulfill everyone’s kid reservations to the best of my ability. If I am unable to provide the kid you select, (either because it is not born or I decide to keep it), I will gladly refund your deposit. Thank you for your understanding. | |||

Prices for 2011 kids
Please trust that our lower prices on kids (compared to some breeders) are not a reflection of lower quality animals. Our does are proving themselves in both the show ring and the milking parlor. For example, we have had the "Best of Breed" Nigerian doe at the Oregon State Fair all six years we have shown. We have also been honored to receive the "Premier Breeder" and "Premier Exhibitor" banners for the past three years at the Oregon State Fair. doe kids - $225 to $600 buck kids - $225 to $600 (only the best kids will be saved as bucks) wethers - $75 to $100 The majority of the “show quality” kids out of proven does will be priced at $275 to $300. Our polled and/or blue-eyed kids may be priced $50 higher than comparable brown-eyed, disbudded kids because of the greater demand for blue eyes and polled kids. For example, a blue-eyed or polled doe kid with excellent conformation out of a top quality doe may be priced as high as $350. Kids out of finished champion does will be $350 to $600. I would be happy to quote you a more exact price on a particular breeding.
Kid Reservations If you would like to reserve an unborn kid from one of the planned breedings listed above, please send a $50 deposit for each kid you wish to reserve. If your selected kid is not available, you are welcome to transfer the deposit to another animal, save the deposit for a future breeding, or receive a full refund of your deposit. If you would like to reserve wether kids, the deposit is $25 per kid. The reservation list for wether kids is listed below. You are welcome to pay your deposit with PayPal using your credit card or personal bank account. I am a verified member of PayPal.
